The university is still refusing to back down from its proposals that would make library workers’ health care less affordable, reduce their autonomy over their hours and schedule, and force non-security library staff to effectively act as security guards during many hours of the day.
The Brown community cannot accept these attacks on fair treatment for campus workers. We are having a Rally at 12 noon on Thursday 10/14 outside of the Rockefeller Library (10 Prospect Street) to send this message to the university in negotiations. Brown students, alumni and faculty, as well as other campus workers and community members will be coming out so show our support for the library workers.
We hope to see you outside of the Rock at noon on Thursday 10/14! Also, if you have yet to sign the petition, please do so now; we’ll be delivering the signatures to the administration after the rally.
